MCA introduced the form for validating the addresses of all registered companies under the Companies Act, 2013. The KYC form goes by the name tag ACTIVE (Active Company Tagging Identities and Verification). The KYC form was introduced with the idea to make sure that the companies E-file their details accurately so that a proper check is maintained, and also, to ensure that the creation of shell companies is prevented. Due Date for filing the form has been extended to 15th June, 2019. MCA has officially stated that no further extension will be provided for filing the said form. Consequence of Non-filing Both the company and the directors of the company which does not file the form will be marked as "Active Non-Compliant" and the directors will not be able to sign and validate any forms with the MCA.
